Reading and Writing
We will wrap up the year in writing by writing a letter to the first graders. We’ll tell them about all of the things we’ve learned and done this year. The third grade teachers will also get a letter from us because we want to tell them what we are expecting for next year.

Math
This week in math we are continuing our review of second grade skills to make sure everyone is prepared to go to 3rd! We will be sending home a green booklet titled “I’m getting ready for 3rd grade,!” and it is a great review of both reading and math skills.
Science/Social Studies
Our last week of Social Studies will be changes in transportation, communication and recreation. We’ll discuss how all of these evolved over time. Students will put various forms of transportation, communication and recreation in order from past to present. Students will use their creativity to predict the next big thing in transportation, communication and recreation.
