May 21-25

WRITING & READING
This week, we will wrap up our time capsule projects and seal them shut! Our letters to the first graders and to our hopeful third grade teachers will be complete. We will be tested on how well we know Mrs. Gregory-Wilder and how creative we can be to finish some 'funny little sayings'. We will have a time of reflection and yearbook signing on Thursday for the whole second grade (if you ordered a yearbook, Thursday is the day to bring it to school so your child can receive all their friends signatures and well wishes).

SPELLING & GRAMMAR
There is no spelling or grammar this week!
MATH
We are coming to a close on our division and multiplication introduction unit. The students will have a choice of math games to play and have competitions and races for the right answer. Jeopardy will be revisited from our past units. We will have a point of looking back to see all that we have learned in one short year.

SCIENCE or JUST PLAIN FUN
To put icing on our science cake, we will have a few more experiments to do this week. Some involve a little of exploding, imploding, swirls and spice. It should be a memorable end to a great year!
