I can't believe it is the last week of school! There is no school on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday are normal school days. Thursday is our party day, and then Friday is clean-up and movie reward day.
*Please send a large shopping bag by Wednesday. We will be cleaning out our desks and need a bag to put our supplies in to take home.
Writing and Reading:
We will finish up our Time Capsules and take them home this week. We will reflect on our year in second grade with some writing activities. Since summer is right around the corner, we will also work on some fun summer writing. We will not have spelling this week or Life Journals. Daily 5 will continue this week.
Math:
We will review math skills that we have learned this year such as multiplication/division, rounding, time, money, and place value. We have a fun Game Show computer game to play and various other games to practice these skills throughout the week.
Social Studies/Science:
We will wrap up our unit on the past vs. present and then work on some science experiments.

End of Year Party: We have all the volunteers we need for our party on Thursday. If you are a party volunteer you can just come in with your kiddo and stay that morning. We will start the party at about 8:00. We do still need volunteers to bring in our slushes. Let me know if you can help in that way. This will be an exciting party!
